Her condition at the time the meds were ordered might have indicated that she needed to take 0.25mg of Digoxin Like a rapid heart rate difficulty breathing and some other symptoms of the congestive heart failure. After the symptons are under control her normal maintenance dose will remain at one pill unless she has a reoccurance of symptoms. Maybe the next time she sees her doctor you can mention her concern or if she is worried about maybe the doctors nurse and explain this to her over the phone.
