Hubby and I had sex and he had an accident and I know I'm ovulating around now and I think the egg is already out. I went and got Norlevo 1 1.5mg Tablet 1 (Prescription Only from the chemist - Levonorgestrel and took it right away. It was 2 hours later. Will it work. I have never had an accident before and I'm bloody scared.
Has this happened to anyone and I'm getting cramps in my tummy. It's been a few hours since I took it.
Does the morning after pill really work Norlevo 1 1.5mg Tablet 1 Levonorgestr?

If you are in the 24hrs around ovulation itself, then the only emergency contraceptive pill proven can prevent pregnancy during that time, is Ella (Ulipristal Acetate), & even that one isn't guaranteed. You can see this on their website.
Levonorgestrel is only proven to work by delaying your ovulation.
However, it is not advisable to take Ella, now that you've taken Levonorgestrel, as they do not know if taking the 2 together, can cancel each other out, leaving you with no chance of protection. Not enough research has yet been done.
If you've already ovulated, then neither pill is likely to do anything, & your only option would be to get a Paragard IUD fitted by a doctor within 5 days/120 hours of the unprotected sex. That can stop the pregnancy implanting into the womb.
It just depends whether you consider there to be significant risk. If you think you were at the start of your fertile days, then the Levonorgestrel may have time to delay ovulation. It sounds like you think you may have been on ovulation itself, so may want to consider the Paragard IUD. It can be left in place for longer term contraception, too. However, IUDs can be painful for some people who've not given birth in the past.
