Just started 45mg a day, stopped my benzo intake and just mirtazapine for sleep. I get that brain buzz all the time
Is mirtazapine also used for alcohol and benzo withdrawals?

I find it hard to believe that your MD has just stopped your Clonazipam. You definately need to wean off slowly! It can be harmful to come off of it too slowly. Is there more to this story that we don't know?
"rapidly", I mean...
Hello helpneeded. No its not used for Benzodiazepine/Alcohol withdrawls. I take Mirtazapine, as yourself for my insomnia. Regards pledge
Just wanted to caution you that stopping a benzodiazepine abruptly can cause seizures. Best to taper off this slowly over time to avoid any consequences.
Mirtazapine is used in the treatment of depression; anxiety; insomnia; hot flashes; post traumatic stress disorder and belongs to the drug class tetracyclic antidepressants.
