Three days as far as the itch and redness. Don't stop if you feel better. Use the cream for 10 days to ensure it doesn't come back.
For over the counter 1 week or 5 days is usually recommended. If you are taking antibiotics it may take longer.
Thank you so much for the info..just one more question will I start seeing some immediate improvement of symptoms w/in 24 to 48hrs..know it will take longer to cure ofcourse.
You should feel improvement on day 3 or 4 but it can vary person to person
Thanks so much for being helpful!!! ;)
How many times you should put ketoconazole cream/day? I am desperate now with non-albicans candida, has tried everything and now about to try ketoconazole, do you know anything else that can cure this? Thanks a lot
I have realised that am getting yeast infection regularly. What causes that. I really need to know.
Hi Jenik, i copied and pasted this quote from 'prevention.com'...
"Yeast live in the vagina all the time in small, harmless numbers. But when these fungi grow out of control, the resulting itchiness, burning, and redness are extremely uncomfortable. In some cases, a thick, white, odorless discharge, resembling cottage cheese, also appears. Lactobacillus bacteria (a healthy type) normally keep the vagina's pH and yeast levels in check. But the balance can be tipped by antibiotics, corticosteroids, uncontrolled diabetes, or raised estrogen levels from birth control or pregnancy. Yet, in many cases, there's no easily identified culprit."
I hope this helps...
