My thyroids are so swollen I can't swallow big pills this is why I ask. I tried it but I jus want to kno if it'll still take tha infection away.

It will work if you take metronidazole tablets dispersed in water but I wouldn't recommend it. This pill as it is, tastes quite foul anyway and if you take it suspended in water it'll probably coat your whole mouth and make it even worse tasting.
But if you think the taste won't bother you then it is fine. Also drink lots of water after the dose, to wash all the medicine down.
