..I am taking metrapolol twice a day since June. I have always tried to take care of myself. I drink a vega one protein shake once a day and was wondering if there are any interactions with metaprolol? This vega one protein shake does have vitamins and minerals in it as listed: Vitamins A, C, D, E, K,as well as many others. Is it ok to have at mid day since I take the beta blockers at 6:00 am and 6:00 pm to ensure proper absorbtion of beta blockers? The vitamin K is only 60%of daily value so hoping drinking these aren't an issue. Please advise if anyone knows anything

The thing I'd worry about is how much sodium is in it, with high blood pressure, you need to be careful with sodium.
Its not going to alter the drug at all.

Actually I don't have high blood pressure I'm in and out of atrial fibrillation on a daily basis so they have me on beta blockers so my concern is for that reason because I have atrial fibrillation I do not have high blood pressure

Also for anyone else that does take the protein shake or would like to you it is very low in sodium only 20 mg
