You might want to try 50 mg of benadryl every 6 hours and 20 mg of pepcid.
This works for me along with the medrol pak. I also recommend ice paks.
This is what they do to me when I go to ER with hives. Been thru hives many times with a ton of severe allergies.

If you haven't seen an improvement., I would definitely go back to the doctor.
