i found some used baggies & scale & picked them up & put them in the garbage. I came up positive for meth on a drug swab but this was the only contact i had with it.
Can methamphetamines enter your system by touching them?

I have heard of this happening ,
The best thing you can do,is,just stay awayfrom anyone you think, might be on this and always use gloves to toss anything in the, trash like this .u can get transfer by touching these things
If you were to have absorbed it into your skin for aa long period of Time, then I would say yes, but since you just touched it, it definitely should not have come up, sometimes these test are wrong, more than sometimes, they call it a false positive, when a medicine comes up that you didn't take.
ok but is there a way to retest after 2 weeks to see if it may have been a false positive? i don't remember if i washed my hands right away either before i ate. Could this have affected the test?
meth leaves your system in 72 hours, it may vary a bit depending how much and how often you are doing it... So if you show up positive for it again in two weeks, then you are most likely not being honest with yourself... But If you have not takin any then you should walk in there with a big smile on your face and youll have nothing to worry about! :)
This casual contact should not have been enough for you to test positive. Surprising someone would leave a scale behind.
the scale was mine from my life before my daughter. it just got lost in my belongings.
