It is either an herbal supplement or it could be an illegal drug packed into a capsule. Unfilled gel caps are available at places like GNC and other nutritional supplement stores and people will put illegal substances in them. They are actually meant for people who buy herbs in bulk so they can fill their own capsules but the illegal drug trade uses them. Dont bother taking it to a pharmacist, he wont know what it is either and it could be ANYTHING! Herbal medications, vitamins and supplements dont follow the same regulations that drugs do and they dont have to be marked (some are but many are not). All medications in the US, prescription and non prescription alike must have identifying markers-either numbers, letters or both and sometimes manufacturer logos that identify them. Supplements do not have to be marked so it makes them difficult to ID. I would just dispose of it.
Put it in a waterproof container, mix it with a bit of water to dissolve the capsule then mix the dissolved mixture with coffee grounds, kitty litter or something like and throw it in the trash.
I can't think of one legitimate prescription capsule that is clear. Gelatin capsules that are used to put things in it that arent' legal are clear. I would take it to the pharmacist.
Sounds like one of those very dangerous non regulated herbal compounds that claim to be T.H.C.
... some called K2 I believe... extremely dangerous if of the related.
Lost a friend that took something like that
In the U.S.,there are some drugs called "experimental" that the fda knows, about but can't regulate.
A fixture for disaster.
Hello baldeaglewithhair,
The FDA requires for the pills/caplets/capsules, etc. to have an imprint, prescription and non prescription.
Besides without the imprint it is impossible to identify pills/caplets/capsules online.
Your pill could be a vitamin, a diet/herbal/energy pill, or an illicit or foreign pill.
I suggest you take it to the pharmacy, perhaps they can help you.
Take care,
