My cortisol levels are low. Borderline low around 5. I don't take any medication for that, but recently due to high frequency of my panic attacks, I was prescribed 0.5mg clonazepam on use when necessary basis. It is for sure effective in breaking the panic attack but could it be affecting my already low cortisol levels? If yes how will I notice it in my body?
Low cortisol levels and clonazepam?

Hi, Robert!
There is evidence that the benzodiazepines can lower serum cholesterol levels in some cases but we're non-professionals and you need expert advice from your doctor(s) on this question.
Your doctor(s) may be aware of this interaction and determined that the benefit outweighs the risk but you need a professional opinion.
Best regards and sorry that we can't be of more help.
