The worst thing you can do is mix alcohol with benzodiazepines, been there and it is terrible.

Moderate Food Interaction
Alcohol can increase the nervous system side effects of LORazepam such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with LORazepam. Do not use more than the recommended dose of LORazepam, and avoid activities requiring mental alertness such as driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medication affects you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns.

Not trying to scare you, but the above interaction is way worst in real life.
Hi Maso!
No, I would never take them together, that is why I am seeing how soon after is OK. I did call a pharmacist this morning, and he said 12 hrs, but just to be aware I may be more sleepy. In my case, I took .70 mg around 9p last night and will most likely have a few drinks around 7p tonight, so it will really be about 22 hrs. I do not take this regularly, so it is not built up in my system. The only other thing I take regularly is a kid's dose of Zyrtec and low dose Pepcid, but the Zyrtec does not make me sleepy.
