I had a spinal tap Monday. It is Friday
I have a spinal headache. The question I have is when the procedure is done are you supposed to lay flat 30mins before you get sent home so you can clot? I was sent home immediately after the procedure was completed. Please help I want to make sure I'm going to heal on my own
How long does spinal tap take to heal?

You should not have a spinal headache now. Have you been drinking a lot of of fluids? It should be healed, your body should have replaced the fluid taken.
You should see your dr to be sure nothing is wrong.
I've been in contact with doctor I am on strict bed rest. If not better by Monday I will have blood patch. I was just wondering about the clotting issue
Ok, You've got a leak which is what I was concerned about. You should have clotted the day of the tap. Did they tell you to rest or something when you had and were sent home ( much faster then I'd think it should be done).? From past experience I'd say you're going to have to have the blood patch.
Yes I was told to take it easy the rest if the day which I did but I did go to work next day because I was not told to stay home. I had to be drove home and have been in bed since
