I started off on quetiapine in the beginning. A Low dose. It didnt last for me either. Told my doctor and he increased it. Still didn't last so he put me on sequel XR. I took it at night and it last all day. It was great for me. With the extra release (XR) formula and right doses you should be fine. Hope this helps
Can I ask what condition you used if for and how many hours before bedtime you took it so that you get yo sleep straight away. I am taking the normal Quetiapine at night 50 mg so it helps with my insomnia. I was hoping that Quetiapine xl. taken at night time would help with my insomnia at night and anxiety obsessive thoughts and depression in the daytime. Thanks for your help
Yes between the Medication and worring about it. You should check with the doctor and see about a dose adjustment don't do it without talking with your doctor but you really need more sleep. good luck
Hi, Emma!! It lasts about 8hrs for me, but Seroquel has a very short half-life meaning that after about 6hrs half your dose has left your body. Ask your doctor about trying a bit of a dosage increase ~ I take 800mg a day ~ and it took months of increases but now I'm at a level that works perfectly for me.
Best of luck to you. You need those ZZZzzz's to maintain your strength and health! WCV
PS, please call your doctor and tell her/him EXACTLY what's going on with you, okay?
