I have a night out planned about 35 hours after I take my last tablet and I was wondering if this should be long enough not to be really ill?

It takes approximately 5.5 times the elimination half-life for a medicine to clear completely from the body. The elimination half-life of metronidazole is eight hours, so it will take about 44 hours (5.5 x 8 = 44) to clear this drug from the system.
