I took it 3 hours ago and my heart rate is still the same. I am a 43 female. My heart rate has been between 95 to 160. I had been taking 25mg and just moved up to 50mg.
How long does it take for metoprolol succinate ER to start lowering your heart rate?

"Metoprolol starts to work after about 2 hours, but it can take up to 1 week to fully take effect."
