med was pulled to use but pt went to OR then to ICU has been out for 12 hours
How long can Hemabate and Methergine be out of the refrigerator and still be full strength?

Here's your answer: Ampuls: Store in refrigerator, 2ºC-8°C (36°F-46°F). Protect from light. Administer only if solution is clear and colorless. The major clue is if the solution is clear and colorless. And try to keep on refrigeration and covered from light sources if left out.

Parenteral drug products (methergine) should be inspected visually for particulate matter and discoloration prior to administration.
