How long after injection does Emgality stay in your body? I’ve had only the first shot, but 2 weeks later I had to take my old prescription. Seems if injections are once a month, then the drug should last a month. Please help. Thanks

It takes approximately 148.5 days (21 weeks or 5 months) for Emgality to be out of your system.
The elimination half life of Emgality is 27 days.
This is the time it takes for your body to reduce the plasma levels by half.
It usually takes around 5.5 x elimination half-life for a drug to be eliminated from your system.
Therefore 5.5 x 27 days = 148.5 day (21 weeks or 5 months) for Emgality to be cleared from you body.
