How much liquid on the skin is normal after a subcutaneous injection of Emgality using their auto injection pen? I had about a pea sized drop of liquid after removing the pen and there is only 1mL in the pen so I’m concerned I did not get the full dosage for the month. The instructions state to hold the pen there for 10 seconds and listen for the 2 clicks, which I did, but the 2 clicks occurred within 2 seconds of each other so I’m not sure if the needle retracted too soon or if the amount of liquid would be considered normal after an injection.

I have tried every injectable that has come out over the years and I don’t recall ever having any fluid other than maybe small drop of blood. I would guess you are right that it pushed back out some of the medication. I know this is off topic but about 5 months ago I was put on a CPAP machine for shallow breathing during sleep, waking up with headaches and fatigue. It’s annoying and difficult to get used to but the unexpected benefit will keep me using it. For whatever reason the compressed air from the CPAP has reduced the frequency of my migraines about 75%. And the ones I do get are not as severe and go away usually with one dose of Maxalt. I have had migraines for over 35 years and tried everything that’s out there. The last meds I used before stopping was Emgality which is the reason I replied. Just thought others would see this and maybe it could be something of benefit. Good luck with your treatment.
