I have been on birth control pills for about 4 years now. This month I went on vacation and forgot my new pack of birth control pills. I would have missed 4 days while I was away and then I completely forgot to take when I got home. I didn't want to play catch up for 5 days so I decided to just not take the pills this month and start them up again next month. My boyfrend and I did have unprotected sex a couple of times in the past week. How long after not taking the pill can you get pregnant?

Theoretically you can get pregnant as soon as you stop the pill. You aren't protected. What you should have done if you miss more than 2 pills you start a new pack right then.
Hi noname. Well technically all it takes is missing a single pill & pregnancy can happen. Its possible but not probable. However you missed more then 1 dose so the chance of pregnancy began the moment you had sex after missing a day or 2 & became increasingly possible with each additional missed dose. It depends on how your body & hormones responded to not having the pill. Stopping this med can trigger early ovulation or could cause late or no ovulation at all this month. So as early as the time for your 1st missed dose is when risk of pregnancy began. Good luck
