Hi, hmrahkola!
I'm not quite sure what you're asking?
Can you describe your problem with Seroquel and give us a little more information about your concerns with Lexapro? What doses were you/are you taking and for how long?
Thanks!
Seroquel, started at 50mgxr slow titration over 5 weeks to 150mg. Had bad headaches, very nauseous and no appetite. When I got to 150mg, I started to feel really sick and my legs muscles and arm muscles became very weak. Stopped. Seroquel March 23. Started Lexapro April 3rd. Started at 5mg than 7.5mg now I just went to 10mg on Friday April 30

I am not sure my entire question was sent out. I can't see my original question.
I was explaining my side affects from the lexapro. bad headaches, tingling on the brain that moves around, sore spots on the brain that move around, burning that moves around brain, these all come and go. the left side of my face and left cheek get sore. left eye pain that comes and goes. nausea, no appetite, burning in my chest and sinuses. Increase in anxiety, early morning the is the worst. panic, sometimes so tense I feel like I'm frozen. I know it's high anxiety, it does comes and go. Xanax helps. Depression that comes and goes. Insomnia. I tried to tell my doctor, he just looks at me and says he has no answers why I have all these side affects, just wants me to give it more time. If there is any positive, my depression seems like it is not so dark today and my ocd is slowly getting better.. Just hoping the side affects are normal
No worries about the lost questions... it happens here occasionally.
The side effects are unfortunate because it sounds like you're seeing some improvements but they are "normal" or at least not unexpected for some people. Yours are too many and too severe though I think. Perhaps your dosage has been increased too quickly and maybe you'd do better if you could stay at one dosage longer so that your metabolism can adjust more smoothly.
It will take time, that's true but since the drug is helping you it would be good if you could try to hang in there a little longer.
Talk to your pharmacist who may have some suggestions for remedies to help manage some of the side effects.
Good luck and let us know how you're doing, okay?
After 5 weeks at what dose?
Generally speaking, it's not a good idea to stop abruptly. You can always ask your pharmacist's opinion if your doctor is not available.
Best regards
Kevin
Are you asking if you should stopped abruptly after 5 weeks?
No, I had to stop Seroquel at 5 weeks because of various side affects. One being my legs and arms became very weak. I was wandering if anyone else has experienced so many side affect on Lexapro. Not sure if some are from abruptly stopping seroquel. My doctor (psychiatrist)knows all this but seems clueless as why I'm having a hard time. I told him about the increase in anxiety he implied that shouldn't be, most people stop having anxiety on this drug. He is not a big one to acknowledge side affects. He is pushing me to give this more time. I was hoping someone would have so encouraging words
That's why I say to ask a pharmacist's opinion. They are trained primarily about drugs and interactions and have way more time to spend with you.
