Just started Lamictal 25mg qd for depression . Been on it for 5 days. Since I started, have noticed upper abdominal fullness, upper abdomen bloating. feels like a have a stomach full of gas. Nothing I have tried has relieved this feeling. Did not take any meds on Sunday because my stomach was upset and felt better. Started taking my drugs again and it’s back! Does Lamictal cause belly issues. I am calling MD in the morning.

Hi, Cindy!
It's a side effect of the medication and should resolve within a few days to a week or so. Do let your doctor know though because it's important to report how you're doing throughout this initial period.
