im using a medication kalled clindamycin hcl but i still have pain so im asking is it safe to use pain killers along with this medicine hurry and answer please asap thanx

You must be in a lot of pain. Is your vision impaired? Your spelling is nuts! You really should call the dr right away! "Kause if your stomack hurts and your vision or brain is being effekted to thats krazi badd" call the dr or get yourself to emergency you're losing it buddy.

Dear Buddy, as long as you are not taking any other medicine that would interfere with either med you mentioned, yes you can take the pain med while on clindamycin. You can click on the interaction checker on the blue banner under the drugs.com logo to check for interaction with meds you are taking. Patti

You should be able to take bayer aspirin, if you are worried about it, you can always double check any meds with a pharmacist, they are the true experts on meds, not the drs. nah i didnt mean to it klicked it by itself i really didnt know how to work this thing so i just asked da question not knowing if the keywords matched but thanx its just my tonsils r swollen bad n they have an infection growing behind them so they gave me this medicine i mention but the pain is there growin worse n worse so i needed to know thanx alot lets see wat happens now

Oh, I feel sorry for you. You should be able to take aspirin, & if that doesn't help excedrin may do better for you. It has aspirin, tylenol & some caffeine to make it work better. They make in generic form so it is much cheaper. Good luck with those tonsils...

thanx alot is the 2 day n i still feel the same and the trial ends in 8 more n i havnt eaten anything this sux i kant swallow anything n b4 i drink water i have to gargle some listorine so it numbs my tonsils lol dis is krazi :'(

Get some chloraseptic spray or the lozenges, they really will numb it and eat some chicken soup, the salt heals your throat.

where kan i find that? i eat soup but just the broath it aint workin for me kause my stomach is just killin me so is stomach pain n throat pain so if i use dat spray it wont effect my other medikation the drs prescribed rii?

Buddy, if your stomach is hurting, you do need to call your dr as in rare cases, clindamycin causes a very bad infection of the stomach called C. Diff, so you need to let the dr know NOW, espeically if you have stomach swelling, and I mean right now. I hope that is not what it is, but that would be a symptoms of it. and you can get chloraseptic in the aisle at any drug store that sells cold medicine, seriously call dr now.

no is not hurting that way is hurtin kause theres noooo food in my system lol im drinkin water n sopa nothin more i dont want anything to skratch my throat kause last time thas how it got worse but i will kontact the dr asap thanx alot

Dr may rx you some pain meds, don't know, but if you can get someone to get the chloraseptic for you, it will numb your throat, you might like the lozenges better, cuz you can just pop one in your mouth, feel better soon, ok. Patti

Buddy, has your doctor tested you for mono? My son has had it twice, & this last time he was having the same problems you are. Are you really feeling wiped out too? Running fever? I would mention it to the doctor. Clindamyacin is a good drug for what you have & mono. Good luck to you.

yea they tested me for mono she said she will give me a kall when she gets the results so im like ok kewl kause when ever i go its always negative for strep so she checked for a few more things it kould b but im taking my medikation ery 6 hours along with the pain killers ery 6 hours n the pain is reduced and the swelling is at its lowest for now lets not jinx this now i thank u guys so much and specially pattii i speak to u n i feel like i was speakin to my aunt who has passed her name was pattii aswell so u made me feel very good i thank u

awww! and I am an aunt Patti too or Auntie Pebbles to some of my neices and nephews. It is possible you have a virus and an infection too and the tonsils are part of your immune system, so, you may have gotten an infection because your immune system was working to clear the virus, but now you are trying to recover from both. During Hurrican Katrina ( I am in the area that was slapped upside the head by her) I had West Nile Fever and I had many cold symptoms and was really sick for about 2 and 1/2 weeks. I got checked for Mono, that was one of the first things they asked me, was I ever around teen agers, and I was. I didn't have that and they did a chest x-ray too, and they lost that on Friday, the hurricane hit on Monday and most offices were closed half day on Friday thru latter part of the week the hurricane hit.
It was fever, and severe fatigue and cold symptoms, but I found out, I had west nile and that is a virus, you can't really do anything but rest, drink fluid and take things to treat the symptoms. It was rough, plus there was a hurricane that had hit, so, no tv, stereo, and I had a teen ager who was miffed because the AC and power were off. I guess it could be that as well, so many symptoms of things are the same. I just hope you get better really quick, and can get something good to eat. Maybe some ice cream would help!

when i work thas all i eat is ice kream kause i work in a restraunt and they serve ice kream so im around people who r eating n it makes me madd kause i kant eat lol n im sorry to hear wat happened to u thank god ur alive n well i know it must have been rough ur a trooper for pulling thru tho ur blessed me im taking it ez just sleeping alot more so dat way if it helps i kan get better faster lol

Buddy, if you are young like a teen or early 20's be very careful in taking aspirin when you have an infection. There is a danger of Reyes Syndrome. You would be better off taking some actaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen for the throat pain. That Chloroseptic spray (or lozenges) Patti was talking about works good too-you can find it at most drug stores. Also mix up a teaspoon of salt in a cup of warm water and gargle and spit several times a day. This will bathe and moisturize your throat to help it get better faster. It really works well. Get better soon! You should start feeling better in a day or two once the antibiotic kicks in. If not then call your Dr again.
