If your wheezing is because of a bad cold and you are really congested then some OTC decongestants might help. The one that worked best for me was generic mucinex. The active ingredient is guaifenesin so just look for that in the active ingredients. Vicks vaporub has also helped clear congestion for me in the past. If you have persistent asthma you need to see a doctor to get something such as an inhaler like albuterol prescribed. Hope this helps you...
