As far as I can tell there no interreaction with any type of food, but avoid alcohol:
What should I avoid while taking amitriptyline?
Do not drink alcohol. It can cause dangerous side effects when taken together with amitriptyline. This medication may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert. Avoid exposure to sunlight or tanning beds. Amitriptyline can make you sunburn more easily. Wear protective clothing and use sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) when you are outdoors.
Hope this helps you out...
Thank you for your help and being so quick with an answer.

I forgot to add that maybe some of the seafood group shouldn't be eaten when taking this medication. Has anyone had an ill effect from like lobster or shrimp with this medication and thanking you for any information to this memo.

Once again, I have seen no such warnings with food combined with this medication. Are you allergic to seafood as shellfish? If so, you should avoid it atall times...
I was on amitriptyline for headaches, and someone answered about everything you needed to know. Saw that you asked about seafood, and as far as my experience and knowledge, there would be no interaction. But! I am not a Doctor of course, but I had no medication/food related interactions. Best to read the insert/directions that come with your medication, or you can always put a call into your Doctor's office and maybe a Nurse may be able to answer it for you. Again, I had NO adverse reactions to food.

I did answer your seafood question but do not see my answer. In my experience I had no drug/food interactions at all. Good question! Maybe others have had different experiences...
You can eat anything you want. It does not affect you if you eat different foods. The only thing I was told was that you should not drink alcohol. I am taking this medication for insomnia and migraines. I had a few head injuries that give me permanent migraines and it helps them tremendously. Also I have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. This medicine is amazing, it puts me right asleep within an hour of taking it. The only side affect that I have had since taking it was a dry mouth and that's all!
@alexalexalex91 what dosage were you taking ?
