Is it okay to take 1 pill every 6 hours instead of 2 every 12 hours?

Mucinex D tablets are extended release so they should work well over 12 hours. They may not be as effective if you take 1 tablet every 6 hours, but I guess there is no harm in taking it this way. Just do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours.
