I was diagnosed with scabies a couple months ago. I have done the cream treatment 3 times, each time a week apart. Because of new bites my dermatologist prescribed stromectol 4 (3mg) plus the cream. My house is under siege and have used all measures from scrubbing everything daily, washing clothes then bagging for 2 weeks then putting clothes in the oven at 225 degrees for 30 minutes just to make sure. Vacuuming everything. I think I found some new bites. What the heck do I do now? This is costing me a fortune and I am on unemployment now and can't afford these extreme measures. The electric bill will be through the roof because of all the washing a excess drying to kill these little buggers. HELP!
Persistent Scabies - any advice?

Sea salt kills them.
I caught scabies from riding Metro
I rubbed it directly into my skin with peppermint and lavender oil
Itching ceased immediately and I already see positive results
I've tried Everything! Thinking of malathion ( from the garden center ). I read a blog from a guy in Kenya said he used pet to - gasoline. I'm not recommending either but those are my only options left.
I used that also it smells horrible if you can get past the smell ugh! It does kill them I mixed with lotion don’t forget face ears inside of ears belly button hard to reach places because that’s where they hide under your nails etc
Don't forget your shoes
If you are suffering from scabies please read this! I have suffered from scabies for 6 months now. My doctor prescribed permethrin cream for my whole family, just to be safe, and hydroxyzine for the itch. I have been through so many tubes of permethrin cream in the past 6 months, I’ve actually lost count. I have had very little relief. I have tried tea tree oil, baking soda baths, and I’ve also been through 2 bottles of aloe Vera recently. (Aloe Vera is the only thing that would temporarily relieve the itch) My doctor also recently prescribed me ivermectin and referred me to a dermatologist because he didn’t know what else to do for me, which did not work either. I have finally found the solution. I read on 2 different forums about salt baths. (2 pounds of salt, epsom or table salt) in hot water, soak entire body for 1 hour, every night for 4-5 nights in a row. I just did my 3rd salt bath, and this is the first time in 6 months I have not had 1 itch.
I can’t believe this is working! Scabies has literally started to ruin my life! It’s humiliating, I feel contaminated and contagious and scared to cuddle or be too close to my very small children. It’s been miserable. So please if you are suffering from this horrible condition, look no further. The first night I had relief with no new bumps or rashes after the bath. Doctors won’t tell you about this remedy because then people will not have to go to them countless times and they won’t make money off of us!
I went through the same thing and after 3 months of suffering from this i finally found a cure!!! First of all stop spending money on all of this medication that is OBVIOUSLY not working. Take sea salt baths with very hot water for four days straight. The hottest that your body can handle. Do this every NIGHT for four nights straight with 2 lbs of of sea salt for an hour each night. Another thing you can do to save time and money is putting all of your dirty clothes/ sheets etc in a separate bedroom for 3 days straight. scabies mites cannot live without its hosts for more than 3 days.
The sea salt baths will kill the scabies on contact but you have to do it for atleast 4 days to make sure you get rid of all of them!! make sure to scrub your skin very well to expose the mites!!!
Let me know if this helps.
It is working, Forever a bath, I rubbed the sea salt Right in my skin with some lavender and peppermint oil!
No more itch!
