I have been on Paradaxa since December along with a number of other drugs. I would like to know if anyone else feels fatigued. It is getting to be a real drag.

I am fatigued and feel extremely dizzy for about 6 months, however I have been using Pradaxa for about a year. I will certainly bring it to the attention of my doctor.
I had the same problem, it was terrible, sucked all my creative juices out of me, the slightest task took a huge efgort. Had the as ablation for heart, than in March the Watchman procedure, now on Plavix for another 2 weeks than only a 81mg Aspirin every day. Pradaxa effects every body different, you and me or the worst of it. Do check on the ablation procedure and the Watchman as a follow up. It will change your life back to normal. Most Doctors don't tell you that he trueth about the bad side effects.
I changed from Xarelto to Pradaxa because of the bleeding reversal opportunity with Pradaxa. After about 5 months of being on Pradaxa I felt extremely fatigued, everything was such an effort for me to do, also my legs felt weak and like jelly, had the feeling they were going to give out on me at any time. I did some research and realised my symptoms were caused by the Pradaxa so decided to go back on to Xarelto. My strength has come back, legs feel back to normal, I am so happy to be my old self again. So Xarelto it has to be even though the reversal won't be possible should I have a bleed.
Hello
I was put on Pradaxa a about a month ago and I started feeling more tired about 2 weeks ago. I don't take any other medication so I know it is the Pradaxa? I wasn't this tired before the Pradaxa.

I totally understand your problem, had similar problem with Eliquis. About 1 1/2 hours after taking Pradaxa the tiredness sets in. It frustrating, makes you feel like a zombie and every single task becomes takes a big effort. Had AFIB ablation in 2016, just had the Watchman procedure last month. Do check it out, it blocks (caps) the plaque in your heart from braking loose and from going to your brain. After the procedure i have to continue Pradaxa (plus 81mg of Aspirin) for 6 weeks, than Plavix (plus 81 mg of Aspirin) for 6 weeks, after that regimen only the 81 mg of Aspirin. So right now only another 3 weeks on Pradaxa, than and Eliquis surely the worst blood thinner drugs. They pull the zest for life right out of you, even my sex drive (Viagra doesn’t seem to help) is nil right now.
I too am so tired all the time. have been on Pradaxa since my stroke in March 2017. I get upset because I want to do things and I'm just too tired. I have no energy what so ever, bummer. Don't wish to have another stroke & I heard other blood thinner meds are pretty scary too. We just have to put our trust in God.
I, too have been constantly tired since taking xarelto and now, after switching in July '17, to pradaxa. My doctor says that this is unusual and thinks that cardioversion and abulation are possible solutions to explore instead. Had a double vent angioplasty in August and while that made things better, the fatigue persists
I have used coumadin - lots of bruising and having to monitor eating habits was a pain in the neck. But no other side effects.
I have used lovenox, sticking needles in yourself is inconvenient but no problems.
Now I'm on Pradaxa. Major fatigue but not every day. Some days it's okay, other days, I can hardly walk. I am an active person, running, biking and swimming 2-3 miles a week. This fatigue has been difficult to handle. I have been using Pradaxa for almost 2 months. I'll give it one more month and then talk to my doctor about switching again. In addition, there has been intermittent heartburn that antacids do not seem to help.
In regard to your doctor saying fatigue is unusual. I'd say your doctor is inexperienced with this drug. My hematologist advised that fatigue is a very common side effect.
I have been on pradaxa for 3 months I feel so tired all the time also since I have been taking it my all around health is awfull. I am thinking of just getting off of it and take my chances? I would love to hear from anyone who also has this problem
Just started a few days ago on this drug. Was taking Lovenox before it. I think it's not just Pradaxa. I started feeling pretty wiped after taking Lovenox as well. I just hope it doesn't get worse with Pradaxa. If it does, I think I'll take my chances with DVT as well.
I wish I could give you an answer. I will be starting on Pradaxa next week. I hafve been on Janavan and am looking forward to getting rid of it.
What dosage are you on?
I think you will do well on Paradaxa. I seems to be a well tolerated drug. I seem to have a problem with the rithym drugs. I really had no tolarance for them. Last week I had a cardiac ablation to stop the AF. My doctor just keep reminding me to wacth my noggen. I find that I fatique easly. I guss it is going to take time. Good Luck and let me know how you make out.
I had been on Pradaxa 3 or 4 weeks after being taken off coumadin., when I was getting more and more fatigued. I finally had to go to the E.R. because I could hardly stay awake or even walk. I had no energy. They found that I had bleeding in my colon and my blood was down to 6. I will never take this drug again. Now I found out that my sister is in the hospital now with the same thing along with severe stomach pains. She was on Pradaxa for 1 month when her symptoms started. My doctor recommends that I not go back on this drug. I feel it is unsafe and dangerous. I feel it needs to be checked into as to how many cases like my sister and I have been documented. Sorry, I couldn't be more possitive but feel strongly against this drug. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks and had 7 transfusions. It has been 2 weeks now and I am just now beginning to get my strength back..
I been on Pradaxa 150 mg twice daily for a week now. My feet swelled to the size of balloons, Im fatigued, short of breath, and my doctor wants me to stay on this drug. Have you read the side effeccts? Very dangerous I think. Im going off of it and taking extra aspirin instead.
