My husband aspirated a single sunflower seed down his airway; he choked at first & tried to cough it up, it never came up, he said it feels like it is on the right side of his lung; he stated it is not affecting his ability to breath, but it is a great concern to me his wife, what can or should I do?

I think he will be fine the sunflower seed is probably still stuck just give it some time and it should go down.
I hope that was not the advice you took. Nothing should be in your passageways ever. 3% of accidental child deaths occur from aspirated food, that over time just moves into the wrong spot and they suffocate internally. It's a tiny percentage, but it's always a possibility.
