My mom recently moved to PA from SC and has been prescribed all these medicines. She takes the Escitalopram in the morning, the Pantoprazole at supper and everything else at lunch time. Should they be spaced out differently?
Pantoprazole sodium
Pravastatin sodium,
Metoprolol succ ER,
Clonidine HCL,
Amlodipine Besylate,
Lisinopril and
Escitalopram.
How to take the below medicines with the least interactions?

Hello!
Three of her medications (clonidine, metoprolol, and amlodipine) could potentially cause some dizziness, a slow heart rate, and headaches. These can also be side effects of each of these individual drugs. If this were to happen you'd need to report it to her doctor. Otherwise there are no other real interactions amongst all her other meds.
Spacing out meds is not so much a matter of timing in a 24 hour day it's more dependent on how long the drug stays in her system. Escitalopram for instance has a half life of about 25 hours for most people... this means that after a day approximately 50% of the drug is still active, after another 25 hours 25% remains, etc. Clonidine and metoprolol have very short half lives but small amounts of amlodipine can remain active for up to 10 days.
Consult with her doctor if you have concerns but basically she'll probably do fine on any convenient schedule.
Best regards,
