After three days of Levaquin I got depressed and kept having "panic attacks" - totally unusual for me. I stopped the pills and thought I felt better two days later but now, on the third day, I am very jumpy again. How long should it be for these feelings to go away if they are caused by the Levaquin?
How long after Levaquin stopping do the side effects last?

My legs are also very "rubbery" and weak.

I took it for 10 days and have severe leg and knee pain for weeks now. I pray this goes away soon. Have trouble walking ,climbing steps and horrible when I getting up after sitting is torture!
I had exactly the same situation. I took it almost a year ago I had severe pain in all joints and muscles. Couldn't lift my arms to put shirts on or shower my hair, couldn't walk for weeks. I went to physical therapy for four months, it helped my arms a great deal and I'm almost perfect there. However my knees are a different story. My right knee is ok for walking my left knee is painful. I had to start my leg exercises over again and I think it's helping. My therapist told me it would take a year for my knees to recover so I hope I'm getting close. I have a compression sock that helps my left knee feel better. I think you should consider PT as I think it can help you. I will say the more I push myself I think it helps the pain get better but don't overdue it. The recumbent bike is something I do every other day and that helps a lot. Good luck! Hope you heal quickly.
I took levaquin in Feburary only for two days and have depression and panic attacks. That drug is mean! How long will this last? Been about 4 weeks so far. . Had one good day this week. Is there anything to do to get it out of system faster? I'm doing more cardio on treadmill so hoping that helps some
Babypeyton, Have you started to feel relief yet? I have anxiety already so just today linked my tremors and severe anxiety today. Previously, everyone thought it was because my pain management dr made me wean off of valium, but these side effects match perfectly, and my anxiety has never been this bad even before I started long term benzos. Today I hit 3 weeks since first dose of levaquin, thurs will be 3 weeks since my last dose (I had severe knee pain so stopped for that) I can get some relief with Seroquel, but nothing touches the tremors. Since you had effects for 4 weeks, I am hoping you have good news that it's gone now.
The EXACT same thing happened to me. I took Levaquin for two days. 1 pill a day, 500mg. On the second day, about an hour after I took it, my heart started pounding, my head hurt, I threw up, I had the WORST panic attack I've ever had in my life. It's now two days since it happened and I'm still a little off. I had to take .25mg of clonazepam so that I wouldn't end up in the hospital. I never want to feel like this again. That company that makes it should be ashamed. How can they sell this garbage!
Hi Ronnie,
I had the same reaction to Levaquin, side effects should clear up very soon, give it a few days. Tell your doc and pharmacist that you can NOT take Levaquin again!
Hope you are feeling better very soon, let us know.
Thanks - I felt better again yesterday afternoon, three days after stopping it, and still feel better this morning.
Today is Tuesday - I took the last Levaquin Friday morning.
I will never take it again, but now worry about others like Omnicef that are closely related.
Glad you are feeling better!
