A fasting (meaning no food or drink other than water since going to bed and taking the reading before breakfast) morning blood sugar should be in the ranges of 70-100 (some sources say70-105 to 110 is still within normal range). A 2 hour post prandial (or 2 hours after eating a meal) should range 70-145. A random (meaning any other time) blood sugar should range 70-125. If your blood sugar reading was a random or post prandial reading, you are normal. If it were a fasting blood sugar then you were a little high. Have you been diagnosed with diabetes? For some diabetics 111 is not too bad a reading, especially if you tend to run very high.
