Will Biktarvy work as a preventative? I am HIV negative and was exposed to HIV. I have to get meds from a friend as the hospital refused to get me any kind of help. What do I do? I know that I have 72 hours from possible exposure to get meds to prevent me from getting HIV. I have a bottle of Biktarvy. What happens if I take this as a preventative?

Taking Biktarvy is not the way to go. Remember, there is no cure for HIV. What you should do is go to your doctor and get an HIV test. Then take it from there. If you don't have a doctor, go to your local health department. There are also many many free HIV testing sites.
