Prozac goes up to 80 mg, and so I was wondering how high of a dose 60 mg is. How about 40 mg Prozac? What is 60 mg Prozac to Celexa, to what dose does it equate?

They are two totally unrelated SSRI's with different modes of action for different symptoms. A comparison mg - mg is simply not possible. 60mg of prozac is a quite high dose in my experience.
This is something that would be best discussed with a mental health professional.
80 mgs is the max dose for Prozac, but it is recommended not to go over 60 mgs. So 60 is a fairly high dose. The max dose for Celexa is 40 mgs. Anything over that could cause heart problems.
Hi Andrew-
60 mgs of Prozac is the recommended maximum dose.
It is difficult to equate antidepressant dosages. The dosages are different in msg, how they are taken, what symptoms they are taken for and in treatment by a professional. Many variables involved.
Best to talk to your doctor and or pharmacist.
