In general, bypass does nothing for blood pressure (higher or lower). Most people with high blood pressure need 3-4 different medications to be well controlled.
What is the Cardiologist recomending? My Aunt who is 72 years old had bypass surgery last fall and is currently taking no blood pressure medication at all. I thought that bypass surgery helps to lower blood pressure.
