I have been on Lisinopril for about 10 years and it has been working for me just fine. For some reason over the past two months my bp has been up much higher than normal. My doctor says it's not stroke level and he want to wait and see if it's going to go back down after another month and then decide what to do about it. I'm also getting headaches everyday which is not normal for me. It really makes me feel uncomfortable. Other than having Hep C, anxiety and some depression, my health is ok. I've been stressed about a few things but it's never caused my bp to go up and stay up before. Any ideas?

hi,im on the same doe, when i was given the dosage&started dosing the same time(both pills in the am)it was causng me to be very light headed, fainting a couple times, wht happen is when you take it like tht it causes your blood pressure to drop too fast&you get lighted headed&will faint,so thts wht i did was split the dose up,i take the 1st pill in the am then the 2nd pill in the aftrnoon,i cnt remember if your bp med has the deiuretic in it,but mine does thts why i take mine in the aftrnoon,b/c i dnt wnt to be hasseled w/gettin up thru the nite to go to pee,so it up to you how you take it,i just space mine out about 4 or 5 hrs.just to make sure i didnt get the lightheadedness. GODBLESS. hope all is well.
Thanks for your reply. The more I talk to people about my situation the more I believe it is anxiety related. A few months ago I was told I needed to start interferon treatment for Hep C. Since then I have been so worried and stressed about the entire situation. It has created tremendous anxiety and I think my doctor thinks that this the reason also. I'm going to work on destressing myself and trying not to worry so much. It's been very difficult trying to sort it all out.
Thanks again for you kind wishes.
