I have been using symbicort for about 3 months with great success in controlling my asthma/COPD, but have had an severe increase in pain in my back and left hip, which radiates down my leg and I was wondering if there are others out there with the same or similar symptoms. I read that these were 'severe side effects' but since I have scoliosis, I am uncertain if this pain is related to the drug or not. The pain has gotten so bad lately that I plan on going to the doctor, but I would like to know if I am alone in experiencing this side effect or not. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Unfortunately its related to a common side effect of Symbicort, around 1 - 5% people who take the med complain of back pain.
Please you should see a doc who may prescribe some med which maybe more suitable, take care, be well.
Well, I knew there MUST be some reason I cannot keep the Symbicort going... I will vow to start again, use a few days and stop--(forget?) . However I have been using the new Combivent Respimate twice a day this summer (live in deep south and NO OXYGEN OUTSIDE when so hot and so much humidity)..A couple og weeks ago I went to bed with joint pain from head to toe. Next day--OK???
