Bactrim suspension can last until the expiry date of the medicine as assigned by the manufacturer. (Just a question ... I don't know about the forms available in our country but was the suspension reconstituted with water before it was given to you? If it was reconstituted then it will have a short shelf life. If it wasn't reconstituted then it should last until the given expiry.)
The preparation is already reconstituted and packed by the manufacturer. It is not powder for reconstitution and to be reconstituted by water. do you think it stay for the whole shelf life? for 2 years? suspension? There is no indication in the product description once the bottle is opened and started to be used.
There should be an expiry date on the bottle and it will be good until then.
Yes, there is an expiry date in the bottle, 3 years. Is this for intact non-opened bottles or does it also true for opened bottles? You may see a leaflet or pack to one of Bactrim (cotrimoxazole) pediatric suspension.
