Flexeril - can you cut a 10 mil. tablet in half? 10 mil. make me way toosleepy?

Talk to your prescriber. It can be cut if it is not a long acting form but I don't think the long acting comes in 10mg-I'm not sure offhand. Flexeril does come in a 5mg strength so talk to the prescriber and he can prescribe the lower strength or prescribe another muscle relaxant that doesn't make you so sleepy like Skelaxin.

yes you can split it. I take 10mg 1xdaily and it doesn't make me sleepy. Do you have a pill cutter. They are very handy and can be found in any walgreens, riteaid,etc. Go to 5mg see how that goes. Ask your doctor 1st, call him right away, they want to know these things. Medicines are not an exact science and have to be tweaked contantly.
