I was just diagnosed with ADHD today and I was given Adderall. I was given a dose of 10mg, I took it and after not feeling it for 90 minutes, I took another one. I really don't feel anything different. I still can't watch a 15 minute YouTube video without pausing and randomly searching something up on google. Should I ask for a higher dose? Should I wait another 2-3 days?
It's my first time taking Adderall IR (20mg) and I really don't feel any real changes?

Are you on Adderall brand or a generic? Many, many, including myself find great differences in the generics. For instance, Mallinkroft does nothing for me (and lots of people on this site). Teva is what I use. Lots like it, but some don't. There is another called Sandoz that apparently is decent. First, I'd call your pharmacy and see what they gave you so you can tell your doctor specifics. It's not uncommon for no reaction or a bad reaction to meds. Even though they are controlled substances and can only be reissued every 30 days, when it happened to me, it was noted on my script "early refill" and I was ok. Remember to ALWAYS check with the pharmacy first to see what's in stock so you don't get stuck with a crappy brand again. Yes, call your doctor, as he will have proper direction. I waited four days and he had the answer in one or two. So, I essentially waited for nothing... I justs didn't want to appear to impatient or like I was waiting for some sort of a 'bomb' to hit me. In the beginning of Adderall IR, I'd say that there is def. a change in mood, appetite, focus, able to stick with a project, start a project (even if you dread it) and other aspects you are struggling with. The active 'feeling' that it is working will last only a short bit of time in the beginning and then it is still indeed working, but your body gets use to it. Who knows, maybe you are on too little, but please call doc Monday. Hate to hear you are struggling when an easy answer could perhaps could be one phone call away.
