I was taking Zyprexa for 6 months and gained a lot of weight. I’m now stopping the medication safely with a psychiatrist and I was wondering how fast you lose the weight you gained?
How fast do you lose weight after stopping Zyprexa?

I stopped taking this nearly three years ago? How come I haven’t lost any of the weight yet? I eat normally.
I was on Zyprexa off and on for years, in the most recent stint I gained 35 pounds in the year I was on it, and it caused my hormone levels and blood sugar levels to be really abnormal. I'm 4 weeks off and have already lost half of the weight without even trying, a big part of it is that my appetite and metabolism are back to normal.
I took zyprexa for around 6months and gained 60 pounds. I stopped taking it and the weight fell off me. About 4 weeks later I had lost it all
My cholesterol and thyroid hormones also returned to normal
I was only in Zyprexa for around 6 weeks and gained roughly 2kg per week I was on it. It took a few months to lose the weight gain it caused me, but it did come off with relative ease once I changed medications.
All the best!
