I've been on .5 of Lexapro for 1.5 mo. I've noticed eye floaters in the same eye that I had a detached retina 2 yrs ago. I know it's related and plan on weaning off the Lexapro
I used it once and developed floaters 12 hours later. Yes they are related.
I have not had any issues with floaters in my eyes.
Good luck!
Hi, Kitty! Abnormal vision and visual disturbances can be a side effect of Lexapro, although it's fairly uncommon. I would report this to your prescriber ASAP.
I have told my Dr he says there is no connection but I am not so sure I have appointment with optician tomorrow .
LEXAPRO:
"Ocular
Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Abnormal accommodation, abnormal vision, blepharospasm, blurred vision, dry eyes, eye infection, eye irritation, eye pain, mydriasis, ocular hemorrhage, visual disturbance, xerophthalmia".
This is taken directly from the literature provided for Lexapro.
Thanks for the information .
