My husband is on 40mg twice a day and he feels nauseas and does vomit, is this normal.

Nausea is considered a common side effect affecting 1% to 10% of people being treated with this anticoaugalant. Common side effects in most people ( as everyone is different) tend to subside between one week to 10 days, if it persists, inform your Dr..
I suggest for the time being he contacts his/her Dr´s office and asks what he can take for the nausea until this side effect subsides.
