Hi scrappy,
My two cents...
Plan your day around the medication if it is new to you.
The onset of action is 8-12 hours so take it when you will be free to go to a bathroom until you know how it will affect you.

I totally agree, lactulose can be savage..

Lactulose can be taken without regard to food.
