I was prescribed Cipro 500mg 2x a day for 7 days for a kidney infection; It's been 3 days since my last dosage although I still have upper right shoulder pain my condition is clearing up, Urine is less frequent, clear and full strength. When will I know if the infection is fully gone? or when will I know I can drink coffee, tea or alcohol again. I'm still flushing with water and cranberry juice.
When can I drink coffee; tea; or maybe alcohol again?

Drinking alcohol with antibiotics will lessen their effect, not a good idea.
I agree. Alcohol depletes the water in your body. Give it a week to know if the infection was cured. When I'll it is important to be careful so things don't come back. Your body is still working in healing even after the medication has been finished. Remember to drink a lot of water.
Hi, it probably isn't a good idea to drink caffeine (tea & coffee) whilst taking Cipro', as it can increase the effects of the caffeine, which could potentially lead to some adverse symptoms. There isn't a warning about drinking alcohol with this medication. Check out the link below...

You should be fine with these other liquids as long as you still drink plenty of water. You'll only know if infection is clear if you go to doctor and have them check your urine.
