It is,i am prescribed Xanax but few months ago my pharmacist changed it to zerax,he explained to me that zerax is generic version of Xanax meaning it contains the same ingredients but it is cheaper, like clothes depending on the brand you will pay more for the same item!
Hey puckiemull,
Gerax contains alprazolam (xanax). Don't know what the conversion is, sorry. But I would trust the pharmacy. If you are nervous contact the pharmacy or your doctor and ask about the conversion.

Than you Laurie,
I had it checked yes, they said they both contain alprazolam but its the cheaper version of it.When the pysciarist prescribes alprazolam, there is no specific name, they're just differend brand names but all contain same.Thank you for reply.
