MsComplicated; Sorry but this is all too common. I am guessing but this would be a 90 day supply and many states now will only let the Pharmacy fill the prescription for a 30 day supply no matter what quantity the doctor writes for the quantity has to match the directions and if it is not that it could be the Insurance for the same reasons. WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IS CALL THE DOCTORS OFFICE TOMORROW AND THEY Can find out what is going on because you need to make sure the doctor knows that you only got 30 on the day you filled it. The doctors don't always know some of the changes the law has made. And you don't want any problems when you have to go back to the doctor next month to have them write another 30 pill. good luck
I had a similar thing happen to me, my doctor wrote a script one 30mg tab every 8 hours but he wrote 60 for the amount. The pharmacist wouldn't fill cause it would put my dose to high, so I went back to doctor and he rewrote the perscription the way it was supposed to be.
