My doctor prescribed Celebrex for me for my back and hip pain. I have not started asking it because of the alcohol warning. I like to have a glass or two of wine a couple times a week. Should I be worried? Does anyone here drink wine?
Celebrex - can I have a glass of wine a couple of times a week while taking Celebrex?

I have taken Celebrex for years and drink a glass of wine or two a couple times a week. What is good about Celebrex compared to other nonsteroidal anti inflammatories is that it is easier on the stomach lining. I believe you are fine to have a glass of wine now and then as long as you are not suffering from gastrointestinal problems.
from what I know about celebrex it is an anti inflammatory. It isn't a narcotic so it shouldn't make you overly sleepy or drowsy with minimal amounts of alcohol. Although I wouldn't advise drinking too much while taking medications as it can be bad for your liver.
Any NSAID is going to have a warning because of the chance of irritation to the stomach with both alcohol and the med. A glass now and then isnt' going to hurt, but be careful.
