I have a condition called migraine without aura and I am taking travel sickness medication almost every day for the nausea as it's helps me control the symptoms.I am taking 50 mg dimenhydrinate. My question is,is it possible to get addicted to this medicine?I am trying to stop it but I feel nauseous, shaking and vomiting and also dizziness.I told about that to my GP but he said take it if it's helpful.
Is dimenhydrinate addictive?

Answers
"Dimenhydrinate can be addictive when it is used to get high, rather than its intended use of preventing motion sickness. Dimenhydrinate, more commonly known as Dramamine, is one drug that has been used recreationally to achieve a high or sedative effect."
