My doctor I saw while I was in the hospital for several days gave a low dose of depakote 3 x a day. I don't have mania or bipolar disorder just depression. I don't want to pick up the medication as all it did was make me numb and I wet my bed 2 times. I don't need this right? I'm on Wellbutrin XL and Zoloft.
Took Depakote for a week and now I've wet my bed 3 times in 10 days !?

I was put on depakote after I got hypomania when taking Prozac. I’m not bipolar and have been on many other antidepressants. Just the Prozac caused that. Depakote was terrible for me. I literally forgot how to spell words. Had a hard time forming sentences. This was close to 30 years ago and my spelling abilities still haven’t come back. I’ve had to relearn to spell. I would say there are better antidepressant boosters than depakote. And if you’re losing control of bowels, that’s pretty serious.
Hi, Gene!
If your depression is not responding well to the Wellbutrin and Zoloft a mood stabilizer like Depakote may be indicated. Unfortunately, urinary frequency/incontinence affects about 1~10% of users. Although most side effects usually resolve within days to a couple of weeks you should report this to your doctor for professional advice. Perhaps another medication like Lamictal, for instance, may be a better choice for you.

PS, Mood stabilizers aren't just prescribed for manic/depression. They also treat a number of mood disorders such as Unipolar Depression and Major Depressive Disorder.
I believe that they are working. He just raised the zoloft to 100mg from 50mg. I believe that he was trying to get me from taking clonazepam that I only take at night. He also has added abilify to be honest he thinks my medication isn't working safe years. I think that it's the situation I'm in that causes depression. I dont want it ,to be honest . I dont see a need for it with zoloft and wellbutrin. What do you think? I dont know much about I was on it for 6 days I didn't notice anything.
If you're satisfied with your progress with the other medications then there's no need to add more to the mix. 6 days isn't a fair trial but I can see why you wouldn't want to wait out the side effects.
I wonder why your doctor is prescribing medications that indicate that your state of mind isn't what it should be?
Just out of curiousity how long have you been taking the Zoloft, Wellbutrin, and the benzodiazepine?
About 15 years . The clonazepam is like 7 years .
