I'm currently coming off of lithium as I don't feel it's working I'm now on Depakote. I've only been taking them for a few days and all I've done is sleep. I'm not depressed quite the opposite just very sleepy.
Does Depakote make you sleepy?

severe drowsiness is a side effect of depakote. you should contact your doctor right away. i would recommend lamotrigine, if you have not been on it yet.
Hi, Ellie! Sleepiness and/or unusual drowsiness are common side effects of Depakote. These side effects should resolve within a few days to a couple of weeks.
